How To Use VVDI2 & GT100 To Read VW Engine?

Image
Today I’m gonna make a tutorial test using these devices on the bench: Xhorse VVDI2 commander , GODIAG GT100 obd2 breakout box , VW BOSCH engine, and a computer. GODIAG GT100 is the latest auto tool for testing OBD2 protocol communication, which can be connected with a single module like ECU for diagnosis. Now let’s go to start: Connect the wires with the VW BOSCH engine according to the wiring diagram. Connect GODIAG GT100, Xhorse VVDI2, and engine. Insert power wire of GODIAG GT100 , and turn on its power switch. As you see, the CAN light flashes, it indicates the protocol communication between the engine & VVDI2 is normal. There is not communication failure in either device. Connect VVDI2 to the computer, open VVDI2 QuickStart software, click VW to launch. Connecting to the device, please wait… Select “Engine”, then click “Connect”. Click “Identification” to read electronic control unit identification. Click “Read DTCs”, trouble data will come out from the engine. Diagnostic tro...

GT100 + VIDENT iEasy200 Test ECU Tutorial

GODIAG GT100 break out box is a latest platform for ECU maintenance & diagnosis. How to use GT100 to diagnose if ECU protocol communication is normal? Today I will work with a VIDENT iEasy200 code reader to finish the test tutorial. Procedure 1. Following the wiring diagram, connect GT100 & ECU. 2. Turn on the switch of GT100, connect batty A & GT100 to charge the OBD2 interface.(note: please do not turn on ignition to start the car) Remove the drain batteries from the car, replace it with battery B. 3. Connect to VIDENT iEasy200 code reader. 4. Use banana plug as the extend cable to connect the resistance. 5. Give power supply to GT100, then turn on GT100 power switch, ECU power and ignition switch. 6. The CAN protocol light flashes to indicate that the code reader is communicating with the ECU. It means both the ECU &iEasy200 can communicate normal, protocol communication is fault free. 7. Now I can use VIDENT iEasy200 to read data stream and fault codes. Test is co...

Godiag GT100 read CAS4 ECU data with Autel MD808 Pro

Image
Hey, buddies, look at what I have: A Godiag GT100 OBD2 break out box, an Autel MaxiDiag MD808 Pro code reader, a CAS4 ECU box, a test platform made by obd2shop.co.uk engineer. Guess what I will do? I use them to read CAS4 ECU info. Here we go: Give 12V power supply to Godiag GT100, then press "Power" button; Connect Godiag GT100 to Autel MaxiDiag MD808 Pro use the 16pin cable; Connect the two adapters of test platform to CAS4 ECU box and another end to Godiag GT100; On Godiag GT100, press "12V (30)" button and the test platform indicator will flash. The method to read CAS4 ECU information: the Autel MaxiDiag MD808 Pro, select "scan" then press "Ok" -> European -> BMW -> OK (to turn off ignition, wait approx 10 seconds switch on ignition again) -> 4 series -> F32/F33 ->Control Units -> Drive -> CAS Car access system -> ECU information. Turn on the switch of the test platform and then have ECU information on the MD808 P...

GODIAG GT100 ECU Test for 2005 Ford Expedition

Image
Hello, everyone! Today I’m gonna test ECU for a 2005 Ford Expedition with GODIAG GT100 OBD2 break out box. Here are the scan tools on bench to be used, before that, let’s connect the GT100 to Autel Maxiflash VCMI device and power on for a check first. I am used to search wiring diagrams on this web to pin out the ECU. In the power distribution diagram, you can find what pins go to. At the end of connectors, numbers of the pins can be found via a magnifying glass. Insert correct wires according to diagram. When something is connected incorrectly, no can blue lights will be shown. I noticed I had missed a ground and connected different power source. After trying, the can blue lights are still off. So I have to go through entire diagram in case I missed anything. Don’t forget to connect everything before you continue. I double checked my connectors, then I realized I should connect it to the middle connector. The can blue lights finally flash on, Autel scan tool also connecting successfu...
