GODIAG GT100 ECU Test for 2005 Ford Expedition
Hello, everyone! Today I’m gonna test ECU for a 2005 Ford Expedition with GODIAG GT100 OBD2 break out box. Here are the scan tools on bench to be used, before that, let’s connect the GT100 to Autel Maxiflash VCMI device and power on for a check first.
I am used to search wiring diagrams on this web to pin out the ECU. In the power distribution diagram, you can find what pins go to.
At the end of connectors, numbers of the pins can be found via a magnifying glass.
Insert correct wires according to diagram.
When something is connected incorrectly, no can blue lights will be shown. I noticed I had missed a ground and connected different power source. After trying, the can blue lights are still off.
So I have to go through entire diagram in case I missed anything. Don’t forget to connect everything before you continue.
I double checked my connectors, then I realized I should connect it to the middle connector. The can blue lights finally flash on, Autel scan tool also connecting successful.
While the Autel tool is scanning, I am searching for the CKP sensor. As you can see, it is so valuable to have multitasking.
Connect appropriate wire to diagnose, I found the primary issue on vehicle was CKP sensor return & feed. With this bench test I can rule out the issue being at the ECU.
GT100 ECU test is successful!
GODIAG GT100 is quite a convenient auto tool to convert OBD2 interface and connect ECU for maintenance, diagnosis, programming & coding. I purchased GT100 from https://www.obd2shop.co.uk/ which is my trusted source.
