How to use ThinkCar Pro& GT100 to read Bosch DTCs?

How to use Launch ThinkCar Pro OBD2 scanner to read DTCs? Today I will show with a break out box tool GODIAG GT100 to realize via connecting Bosch ECU.


First of all, connect the colored jumper cable to Bosch ECU & GODIAG GT100 according to the wiring diagram.

Connect GT100 with ThinkCar Pro via OBD 2-in-1 extension cable.

Plug the power adapter to GT100, turn on the power switch of GT100. Then the ECU power and ignition will switch as well. Look, the protocol light on GT100 is on, which means the device can communicate normally with ECU.

Open Google Store to search the ThinkCar app and download it. Press ALL SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC to start auto detect VIN. If it failed, it will direct you to select the car model manually.

Exit it, press VOLKSWAGEN >> System Selection >> Engine Control Module >> Read DTC >> Report

Tech tip: why should connect to GT100 first?


The OBD2 cable of GT100 is as long as 1.2 meters, which will solve the problem that the diagnostic tool cable is not long enough or the vehicle diagnostic port is too narrow to connect. Please connect GT100 first, turn on the power switch and you will see the voltage on the screen which can tell whether the power supply of the vehicle is normal. [Which keeps away the risk of burning out the diagnostic & programming tool due to the modified vehicle OBD2 port.]
